Team Academy - At the Forefront of Entrepreneurship Education

Team Mastery has its methodological and ideological roots in Team Academy.

Team Academy is Finland’s Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences’ special unit of Entrepreneurship. It was founded in 1993 and over 200 students have graduated from it earning Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Economics. During its history 20 business teams have been coached each for over 3 years.

At the moment Team Academy’s core community consists of four coaches and 200 students. In addition to the core community Team Academy’s learning network includes hundreds small and mid-sized companies who are active participants in Team Academy’s adult learning programs.

Team Academy is a learning laboratory where business and learning practices are tested – companies in the network can themselves take those practices that they feel are suitable to their business and development processes. The network also includes organizations and institutions such as Society for Organizational Learning (SoL), Finland’s Network of Young Entrepreneurs, Finland’s Chamber of Commerce and Finland’s Association of Entrepreneurs.

Team Academy has won numerous national awards for its innovative entrepreneurship creating methods and tools. Team Academy’s methods (applications of Partus -methods) are used in many schools and organizations in Finland to promote entrepreneurial growth and team-learning.

In Team Mastery you’ll learn by having discussions and dialogue with other participants. You can forget boring lectures and PowerPoint shows that seem to last forever. Also, you can forget auditoriums – all contact days will be held in relaxed environments.

The atmosphere of Team Mastery is relaxed. You’ll have plenty of time to think and process your thoughts without a tight schedule. During the program you’ll develop your own organization at your own pace. In Team Mastery you can just pick the best ideas that suit your context.
